Happy Birthday Beautiful!

Today you are 34. A long way from the 18 year old single teen mom college student you were when we met.

You have become this amazing, confident beautiful woman. I am proud to be your husband. Not that you were not amazing and confident when you were an 18yo single teen mom. Your confidence, work ethic and extreme focus were there all along. They are yours and yours alone. No one gave them to you, no one guided you, no one pressured you. Your accomplishments are your own. Your Undergrad, MBA, CPA …… all you. No one else.

Your accomplishments to claim, celebrate and enjoy.

I am glad you have shared those amazing things about you with me and I have used many of them as examples for my own successes and accomplishments since we met, married and raised your (our) son together.
Each year you have become more formidable and more accomplished.

Each year you have taken more control of our son’s life away from the courts and from BioDad and the SpermClan.

Each year you have learned to argue more effectively with me and by doing so you have made me better at thinking my perspectives through.

Each year you have become an even more beautiful, stunning and shining example of the goal you set for yourself when your son was born when you were 16.

You are not a statistic, you are an example.

You should be proud of yourself and all you have accomplished.

  1. Tears are dripping onto my keyboard. What a letter!!

  2. Thanks for the comment Meg. My Wife is truly an inspiration. She became a teen Mom at 16, was abandoned in a rat hole of travel trailer with her infant Son by BioDad when she was 17 and went on to graduate with her HS class and to accomplish those things that I mentioned. Our kid (my SS) is turning out to be as impressive as his Mom.

Her goal since she became a teen Mom was to not live her life and raise her son as statistics.

Anyway. Thanks again for the comment.

  3. She sounds like an amazing woman. And you sound like a wonderful husband. 😉

  4. Thank you for writing her such a lovely letter full of pride for her! So touching! 🙂

  5. I love this letter! I was a teenage mom too and went through some of the things you mentioned. She is blessed to have a husband like you.

  6. I very much hope that she was able to read this letter 🙂
