Dear Unborn Child

I don’t know if we’ll ever meet. It’s not that I don’t want you. If things were different… But now with so many children already in the house…I don’t know if I’ll be able to carry you into this world, even though I want you more than anything. But how would we pay for you? How would we make room for you in our house that has no more room or our car that is already filled to overflowing? And what if I’m too old to conceive anyway? Here’s the truth that I haven’t been able to face: I fear that I’ll hate my husband and his children someday if I never get to see your face.

  1. Heart wrenching, isn’t it? I feel your pain, and know your frustration.

  2. I know how your feel. 😦

  3. If you are pregnant, please don’t get an abortion. And if you are wanting to get pregnant, but aren’t at the moment, but it is one of your main concerns, please talk to your husband fully about your wishes, and please seek counseling to deal with what SOOOO many Stepmoms have to go through–whether or not to have kids, when to have kids, how to afford another child, and “Ugh! I WAITED SO long to get my degree, wait for the kids to get a bid older and for us to all adjust, get a home ready, make sure our marriage was going to last, try to get out of debt, and NOW I’m just getting too old, and the time has just ticked by with no baby in my arms.” The resentment will be emmense. Please seek personal therapy to sort through this, and please join online sites for childless stepmoms–we are the majority. Fostering and Adopting is always an option, too, btw….Peace, Love and Happiness!

  4. I know your pain and their is nothing more rewarding and healing than your own child!
